Khatm al-Nubuwwah fī al-Ḥadīth and Khatm al-Nubuwwah fī al-Āthār by Muftī Muḥammad Shafīʿ

Khatm al-Nubuwwah fī al-Ḥadīth and Khatm al-Nubuwwah fī al-Āthār are two works by Muftī Muḥammad Shafīʿ (d. 1396 AH/1976 CE) devoted to the doctrine of the finality of Prophethood. The first gathers and discusses relevant prophetic hadith, while the second brings together reports and statements transmitted from the Companions, Successors and early scholars on the same subject.

Together, the two works present textual evidence from the hadith and athar literature concerning the belief that the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ is the final Prophet.

These editions were printed in Delhi by al-Maṭbaʿ al-Mujtabāʾī, an important Indo-Muslim printing press associated with the publication of Arabic, Persian and Urdu religious works.
