The Muqaddimah Shaykh al-Hind Mahmud Hasan Deobandi authored for the translation of the Quran went to the printing press before he passed away. However, the muqadimmah which is printed with the translation of the Quran is not the same one. The one printed with the translation is a different work. Mawlana Nur al-Hasan Rashid Kandhlawi came across a copy of the original and prepared this work which includes his valuable research.
